2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift Launched At Rs 4.99 Lakh – Auto Expo 2018 Car Launch
The third-generation hatchback is a big leap from its older Maruti Suzuki Swift. It gets an AMT for the first time along with standard dual front airbags and ABS with EBD.

The biggest launch of the 2018 Auto Expo and the year is here. The all-new Maruti Suzuki Swift 2018 has been launched in India at Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bookings for the new 2018 Maruti Swift are already underway at an advance payment of Rs 11,000, and the waiting period now goes up to over two months. The Swift AMT models get a good number of enquiries at Maruti Suzuki dealerships. However, it’s only offered in V and Z variants.
The Swift takes a big stride forward and is a radical departure from its predecessor in almost every aspect you can think of. If the older Swift was something to crave for, the newer one takes that crave a notch higher. Before we move on let’s have a look at the new Maruti Swift prices.

The hatch gets same set of engines – a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.3-litre diesel. There’s no tweaking in the engines, so they continue to generate same power and torque as its predecessor. Here’s a look at the Maruti Suzuki Swift 2018 specs.

As evident, the new Swift has gone wider and comes with longer wheelbase in the third generation. The boot space too has surged by 58 litres to 268 litres. Surprisingly, the ground clearance has gone down by 7mm compared to the previous version.
There are four variants of the new Swift – L, V, Z and Z+. Keeping in line with the Japanese carmaker’s newer launches in the country, it gets ABS with EBD and brake assist, dual airbags and Isofix anchorages as standard across the variants.
The third-generation of the Swift is available with six colour options – Solid Fire Red, Pearl Arctic White, Metallic Silky Silver, Magma Grey, Midnight Blue and Prime Lucent Orange.
With respect to features, the new Swift 2018 gets LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, auto headlamps and LED rear tail lamps for the first time. The interiors too adorn the Suzuki’s 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink connectivity.
