The three-pointed star brand, Mercedes-Benz has launched the facelifted avatar of its luxury SUV, Mercedes-Benz GLS in India. It is announced in two incredible variants namely, the GLS 450 4Matic and the GLS 450d 4Matic, priced at Rs 1.32 crores (ex showroom) and 1.37 crores (ex showroom) respectively. For 30 years, in India, Mercedes-Benz has been delivering the fantastic combination of luxury and speed. Bookings for the luxury GLS have been started and Mercedes will be delivering them soon enough!
The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS 450d 4Matic gets a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that produces 362hp of power and 750Nm of torque, whereas the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 gets a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that pumps 375hp of peak power and 500Nm of peak torque. Not only this, both engines also get 48V mild hybrid technology claiming additional 20hp and 200Nm. Besides this, Mercedes is also offering a service package starting from Rs 85,000.
Moreover, the all modified GLS got cosmetic upgrades here and there. Together with the freshly designed bumper, there is a new grille featuring four horizontal louvres in silver shadow finish. The GLS Luxury SUV is equipped with the air inlet grilles surrounded by sleek black accents. There is almost no change in overall silhouette other than the freshly customised alloy wheel design. Whereas in rear it got a revamped bumper with skid plate and updated LED tail lamps having three horizontal black patterns packed with new motif.
In the interior, the SUV is adorned by glossy brown lime wood trim offering restyled upholstery choices such as catalina beige and bahia brown leather. Additionally, it is equipped with a dual 12.3 inch infotainment screen, a five zone climate control system, a 13 speaker burmester 3D sound system, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, a powered tailgate, ventilated seats, seat kinetics, and a host of additional features.
Another great thing about the GLS is that it has better safety provided by 9 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors, 360 degree camera and ADAS features such as lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, auto emergency brakes and an array of features.
