Electric mobility is an inevitable future, and carmakers have started accepting this fact. Among them, Lamborghini is one of the frontrunners. The Italian supercar has already given a final hurrah to the Aventador with the Ultimae edition, and it is doing the same for the Huracan with its final edition, the Tecnica. The all-new Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica has been launched in India as the last-ever iteration of the iconic Huracan, thus putting an end to the decade-long run of the supercar.
Price and Positioning
The new Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica has been launched in India for Rs 4.04 crore (ex-showroom, India). At this price point, it neatly slots between the ‘entry-level’ EVO variant and the range-topping and full-blown track-oriented STO variant.
What’s new in design
The Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica made its global debut in April 2022 and gets inspiration from the limited-run Sian hybrid supercar. The design inspiration can be seen at the front, with the new angular headlamp surrounds and tail lamps design, both of which are surrounded by gloss black inserts.
The supercar also gains a carbon fibre bonnet, a new design for the alloy wheels and a sportier-looking diffuser at the rear, which lends it a more aggressive stance as compared to the EVO above which it is positioned. The only other design addition in the Tecnica is a fixed spoiler at the back, which aids in achieving 35 per cent more downforce.

What’s new in mechanicals
For the new Huracan Tecnica, Lamborghini has retained the 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10 petrol engine in the same state of tune as that in the STO. It means that this engine produces a maximum power output of 640 bhp, thus making it the most powerful iteration of the Huracan along with the STO variant. The engine continues to come paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
Other noteworthy mentions of the mechanicals of the new Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica include rear-wheel steering and carbon ceramic brakes. When it comes to performance, the Tecnica surpasses the lower-spec EVO variant with a 0-100 kmph acceleration timing of 3.2 seconds and 0-200 kmph timing of 9.1 seconds. The claimed top speed for the Huracan Tecnica is 325 kmph.
The Huracan Tecnica is the final edition of the supercar and the last ever Lamborghini product to feature a naturally-aspirated engine. As we all know, the 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine of the Aventador too has bidden goodbye with the last-ever Ultimae edition. From now onwards, Lamborghini will be introducing hybrid powertrains in its future offerings, much like the one in the Sian.

Competitors
With its more premium positioning over the EVO variant, the new Tecnica variant is aiming directly at Porsche 911 GT3 RS, McLaren 720S, Ferrari F8 Tributo and Maserati MC20 in India. Apart from launching the Huracan Tecnica, Lamborghini also brought limited units of the super-exclusive Aventador Ultimae. It also achieved the milestone of selling 200 units of Urus SUV, which has become the highest-selling car from Lamborghini in India.
