Toyota Yaris Sedan Unveiled at Auto Expo 2018

Toyota has unveiled the Yaris sedan, not the VIOS sedan at the Auto Expo 2018. It gets 1.5 litre petrol and 1.4 litre diesel engines and is mated to a 7 speed CVT gearbox.

Surprisingly, the Japan-based automobile manufacturer, Toyota launched the Toyota Yaris Sedan at the Indian Auto Expo 2018. Earlier, there were rumors that Toyota Vios will be launched at the Indian Auto Expo but the showcasing of Toyota Yaris Sedan has completely been a surprise for everybody in the media at Auto Expo.

The Yaris sedan is powered by a 1.5 litre petrol engine and is linked to a 7 speed CVT transmission. There is also a 1.4 litre diesel powertrain in the offer list for markets like India. Moreover, this Honda City rival is expected to be launched in India later this year. The length and wheelbase dimensions of the Yaris sedan are read as 4,425mm and 2550mm respectively.

Inside, the car gets neat and premium looking cabins which match well with the company’s claims that the Yaris sedan has the best in class cabins. Besides, there is a large infotainment screen in the central console that supports all the premium sync features like bluetooth, aux-in, navigation and more.

Like mentioned above, under the hood, Toyota Yaris sedan gets 107hp 1.5 litre petrol engine that is mated to a 7 speed CVT transmission. Also, there is a fuel efficient 1.4 litre diesel engine powertrain that is offered keeping in mind the mileage conscious Indian buyers.

Toyota Yaris sedan will be launched in the Indian auto-market later this year and will compete against the likes of Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Hyundai Verna.
