Geneva International Motor Show 2018: Skoda Fabia Facelift Revealed

Skoda will launch the Fabia Facelift in the 2nd half of 2018. The new Fabia will feature new set of LED headlights and tail lights, new 18-inches alloy wheels etc.

At the ongoing Geneva International Motor Show, Skoda Auto has unveiled the facelifted Skoda Fabia hatchback. The new avatar of the Fabia hatch has received many notable updates, especially on its front and rear profiles. There are a new set of LED headlamps and taillamps being introduced and interior has also gone through modifications. Besides, there are more choices of wheels to chose, with new 18-inches wheels available as an option. The interior has also gone through significant changes that include restyled instrument cluster, dual tone seating arrangement and new trim dashboard strips.

Also there is a decent sized 6.5 inches infotainment screen that offers complete range of mobile online services through Skoda Connect. To make urban drives more easy, the company has also equipped this car with the ‘Amundsen’ navigation system which will provide realtime traffic information to the driver. Entertainment and connectivity are also served at its best through the SmartLink+ technology that features Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, MirrorLinkTM and SmartGate.

Skoda Fabia facelift will be made available in four choices of petrol powertrains, all having 1.0 Litre capacity and 3 cylinders. Its MPI engines will come with indirect injection technology and will be capable of producing maximum output of 60hp (44kW) and 75hp (55kW) while the other two TSI motors will feature Skoda’s advanced engineering through their turbocharging and direct petrol injection caliber. These TSI drivetrains will churn maximum power of 95hp (70kW) and 110hp (81kW) respectively. These tech advanced mills get gasoline particulate filter. It is likely that Skoda may link the high powering 110hp 1.0L TSI engine to a 7-speed DSG transmission.

Skoda has also introduced the all-new Fabia with advanced driver assistance features, usually seen in the high-end cars. The new Fabia features Blind Spot Detection feature that alerts the driver if there is a vehicle running in the blind spot or if a vehicle is rapidly approaching from behind while driving on a multilane highway. The Fabia is also featured with a new Light Assist feature which switches to low beam automatically when it senses oncoming vehicle. Another great feature worth mentioning is the Rear Traffic Alert system that avoids a risk of collision while reversing the vehicle.

You can expect the Skoda Fabia facelift to launch globally in the second half of 2018.
