Price

Royal Enfield Classic 500 is offered in six variants and the prices for the base model start at Rs.1,70,307. The most expensive model of the Classic 500 is the Chrome model which is priced at Rs. 1,89,588.

Features

Classic 500 gets fuel injection system which is missing on its smaller sibling- the Classic 350. Also, on offer is a round headlight cluster with H7 55 / 55 W projector headlamp. The instrument cluster gets both analogue and digital gauges. These gauges relay information like fuel level and distance covered. At the rear, we get compact LED taillight cluster. As a safety feature, the side indicators come with a hazard function which makes indicators flash intermittently, therefore increasing the visibility of the motorcycle.

Engine and Specifications

Classic 500 comes with a 499cc single cylinder petrol engine which delivers a peak power output of 27.57 PS and 41.3Nm of torque. The bike accelerates from 0-100kmph in around 11 seconds and features a top speed of 131 kmph. The 499cc motor is air-cooled and comes with fuel injection.

Mileage

Royal Enfield Classic 500 offers an ARAI claimed fuel economy of 32kmpl.

Braking and Handling

The twin Gas Charged Shock Absorbers undertake the suspension duties and with 80mm travel provides a very comfortable ride. The six variants are offered in different brake setups and only the Stealth Black model is offered with a dual-disc brake setup.

Tyres and Wheels

The bike rides on 19-inch spoke wheels at the front and 18-inch wheels at the rear. Classic 500 is not offered with tubeless tyres.
