Mahindra unwrapped its much-anticipated Funster EV Concept at the ongoing 2020 Auto Expo. The loud design work of Mahindra engineers continues with the Mahindra Funster Concept EV, which gets a sporty style that is likely to feature on future Mahindra cars.
The drop-top electric prototype is powered by dual electric motors which bestow the vehicle with a massive range of 520km on one full charge.

The Mahindra Funster Concept EV is powered by a 59.1kWh battery which combined with the dual electric motors offers an impressive power of 313PS and a range of 520km on a single charge.
Coming from the stable of the revered UV maker, it ought to have the all-wheel-drive option, and indeed, it has one. The AWD trim is claimed to have a top speed of 200kmph. The Funster can zip from 0 to 100 kmph in a mere 5 seconds.
Design
The promising Funster Concept featured an illuminated Mahindra toothy grille and tri-beam LED headlamp with fog lamps on the bumpers on its sportier front fascia. The concept looks straight out of the sci-fi and featured scissor doors and elegant contours running all across its body.
The profound wheel arches are typical of the Mahindra DNA. It previews the next generation of the Mahindra XUV 500. The 3-door EV concept had 2+2 seating arrangement.
Mahindra Funster Launch
The Mahindra Funster is highly unlikely to go into production. It can be seen as a sneak peek into the style of the future Mahindra vehicles, especially the 2021 all-electric Mahindra XUV 500.
The electric XUV is expected to be priced under Rs 25 lakh and will be competing against the likes of the Hyundai Kona and MG ZS EV.
