Skoda Octavia RS245 Launched in India, Priced at Rs 36 Lakh

The performance focussed RS version gets a powerful 2.0L turbocharged motor.

The Skoda Octavia RS245 has been launched in India at Rs 36 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi). Offered only with a single trim, the vRS is a limited edition variant and 200 units of the car would be produced. It is based on the top-end Octavia L&T variant. The existing Octavia hasn’t been revised for its BS6 compliance, indicating its imminent phase out. There is no word on the next-gen Octavia at present.

Engine and Specifications

The performance ready car model is imparted with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing a massive power of 245 PS and 370 Nm of torque. It is linked to 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.

Being based on the L&T variant, the Skoda Octavia RS245 gets all the features of the top-spec trim along with some additional sportier traits separating it from the regular Octavia. The RS245 gets a sporty spoiler, vRS badges, dual exhaust tips and 18-inch machined-cut alloy wheels.
