Hyundai has uncovered the second-generation model of its popular Creta SUV. The heart-throb of millions, Shah Rukh Khan unwrapped the popular 2020 Hyundai Creta.

The car is based on the IX25 revealed last year in China and now the India-specific version has made its debut. The Korean automaker released a teaser a few days back hinting of an imminent launch. In fact, the prices of the new Hyundai Creta SUV will be out in March. Here are crucial aspects of this 2020 Creta:

2020 Hyundai Creta comes with new exteriors

The car flaunts a brand-new design but without compromising its family traits. It dons a new design language which Hyundai calls Sensuous Sportiness that can be seen in the form of new sporty cascading styled grille flanked by sleek headlamps, flared wheel arches and c-shaped daytime running LEDs.

The car sports new alloy wheel design. While at the back, it features split taillights and brake light in the middle of the tailgate. Overall, the car looks much sportier, longer and wider than the model it is going to replace soon.

2020 Hyundai Creta gets all-new cabin

The cabin of the new Hyundai Creta is a huge improvement over the current model. It shares similarities with the cousin Kia Seltos and gets a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.

The 5-seater SUV also features 7-inch multi-information display in the instrument cluster, automatic AC, rear AC vents, panoramic sunroof, built-in air purifier, leather-wrapped steering wheel and electric sunroof. Due to increase in dimensions, it has become more spacious than before.

2020 Hyundai Creta gets new technologies

The carmaker has really up the ante in terms of advanced features in the new Hyundai Creta 2020. The car will host a bunch of new technologies including the company’s BlueLink connected car tech and eSIM implanted in the infotainment unit. This will enable live tracking of several aspects such as engine health, current location, driving telematics as well as internet-based stuff like pre-cooling of the cabin and remote engine start-stop.

2020 Hyundai Creta Engine and performance

Under the hood, the car shares the mechanicals with Kia Seltos with an all-new BS6 range of engines. The new Hyundai Creta is equipped with a 1.5L petrol engine that produces 115PS and 250Nm of max torque. The SUV also gets 1.4L turbocharged petrol engine that is capable of generating 140PS and 242Nm of torque. At the diesel front, there is a 1.5L unit which pumps out 115PS and 250Nm of torque.

The 1.5L petrol is coupled with a 6-speed manual and IVT automatic transmission while the diesel one gets 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter. The turbocharged petrol unit is paired with the smooth 7-speed DCT automatic transmission.

2020 Hyundai Creta Price

The price of the 2020 Hyundai Creta has not been disclosed. It is expected to be tagged slightly premium than the existing version. The Creta SUV takes on the likes of Renault Duster, Nissan Kicks, Renault Captur and, of course, its sibling Kia Seltos.
