The mid-weight street naked motorcycle costs 25,000 more than the forerunner and gets many notable tweaks.
Kawasaki India has launched the all-new BS6 Z650 at the price tag of Rs 5.94 lakh (ex-showroom, India). This newer version of Kawasaki Z650 bike is around 25,000 more expensive than the previous model and can be booked at Kawasaki India’s official website or at company dealerships.
This new 2020 Kawasaki Z650 comes with many new surprises for the sports bike lovers and projects the new ‘Sugomi’ design along with having an all-new LED headlamp at the front. Moreover, this naked motorcycle runs on new Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tyres. Besides this, it also gets a 4.3-inches TFT instrument console that supports Bluetooth, GPS logs and smartphone connectivity.
There are hardly any changes in the 649cc parallel-twin engine, however it now gets a new exhaust and gearbox that makes it compliant with the BS6 norms. Similar to what we saw in the 2020 Kawasaki Ninja 650, the Z650 is also able to produce max power and torque of 68hp and t64 Nm respectively. As compared to the previous BS4 engine, the torque of the bike drops by 1.7Nm, however the power remains the same. As compared to Kawasaki Ninja 650, the kerb weight of Z650 is the 5kg lesser and measures 191kg.
Most of the rivals of Kawasaki Z650 are not yet compliant to the BS6 norms. The only bike that currently stands as BS6 compliant is the Harley Davidson Street 750.
