Check out India’s 10 best resale value cars and know which cars would retain their value for a longer time.
With its evolution over the years, the Indian car market has seen its used car market evolving at a rapid pace. Thanks to more frequent replacements and arrival of newer models, the used car market has become much bigger in size than what it was previously.
There are some cars in India that are highly preferred by the consumers for their respective preferences and qualities, which is why they command much higher resale values as compared to their competitors. Following is a list of 10 cars that offer the best resale values in the used car market:
Maruti Suzuki Swift
The Maruti Suzuki Swift arrived in the Indian market as a more premium and youthful option for those consumers who wanted a bigger and more desirable option over the likes of entry-level cars like Wagon R and Santro. Since then, the Maruti Suzuki Swift has been a consistent performer when it comes to volumes, hence commanding a strong image in the resale market.
Currently, the Maruti Suzuki Swift is available only with a 1.2-liter petrol engine (90 PS/113 Nm), offered with both 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox options. However, the previous iterations of the Swift also had a 1.3-liter diesel engine (75 PS/190 Nm), which is quite popular in the resale market.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire
Like the Swift, its sedan counterpart, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire managed to command high resale values, thanks to its good driving manners, practical cabin and economic after-sales experience. Apart from the first-generation model, the second and current third-generation models have been sub-four meter offerings.
The Maruti Suzuki Dzire is powered by the same 1.2-liter petrol engine (90 PS/113 Nm) as that in Swift, and here too, it is offered with both 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox options. And like the Swift, the erstwhile iterations of the Dzire were available with a 1.3-liter diesel engine (75 PS/190 Nm) as well.
