Soon after bringing in the updated Jaguar F-Pace, Jaguar Land Rover India has brought the updated Range Rover Velar in the Indian car market. One of the sleekest and most stylish-looking SUVs in the world, the Range Rover Velar will now be available in a single R-Dynamic S variant, the price of which now commences at Rs. 79.87 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
2021 Range Rover Velar – Exterior Changes
Maintaining its exclusive appeal, the new Range Rover Velar now comes only in a single R-Dynamic S trim level. The Range Rover Velar retains the sleek looking design with sloping roofline and taut stance, however, the front grille has been tweaked with new ‘Shadow Atlas’ theme.
Even the alloy wheels and front bumper inserts have been tweaked, with the latter getting new LED turn indicators. As a part of the R-Dynamic S trim, the new Range Rover Velar is now bestowed with a contrasting glossy black roof and rear view mirrors and burnished copper accents present on front bumper, bonnet and front side fenders.

2021 Range Rover Velar – Interior Changes
On the inside, the changes in the updated Ranger Rover Velar feel more detailed as compared to that on the outside. The cabin now gets few additional welcoming bits like PM2.5 air filter with air purifier, 360-degree parking camera and a revised Pivi Pro touchscreen infotainment system.
Other noteworthy features which continue to make the cabin of the Range Rover Velar feel special are panoramic roof, Meridian sound system and touch-controlled panel for the four zone automatic climate control. Finally, the overall comfort of the cabin now feels even more enhanced by the introduction of new air controlled suspension and active road noise cancellation.

2021 Range Rover Velar – Updated Powertrain and Variant Lineup
The new updated Range Rover Velar now shares its new 2.0-liter Ingenium engines with the recently launched Jaguar F-Pace. There are two engine options to choose from – a 2.0-liter petrol engine, which belts out 250 PS of maximum power and 365 Nm of maximum torque, and a 2.0-liter diesel engine, which churns out 204 PS of maximum power and 430 Nm of maximum torque. A four wheel drive system is offered as standard in the single R-Dynamic S trim in which the new Range Rover Velar is being offered.
2021 Range Rover Velar – Pricing and Competition
The Range Rover Velar is priced at Rs. 79.87 lakh for the single variant in which it is offered. At this price, the main rivals with which the Range Rover Velar will compete are Jaguar F-Pace, Mercedes Benz GLE, BMW X5, Volvo XC60, Lexus NX 300h and Porsche Macan.
