Top-Spec MG Gloster Savvy Variant Gets 7-Seater Option, Priced at Rs. 37.28 Lakh

The flat bench-alike luxury seats in the second row of the 7-seater MG Gloster Savvy trim now replace the captain seats, seen in the 6-seater trim. However, no major change is seen on the outside.

Citing the public demand, the MG Gloster now comes in a seven seater configuration for the top-end Savvy variant. The variant was previously available only in a six-seater configuration, with captain seats in the second row. The MG Gloster Savvy 7-seater has been priced at Rs. 37.28 lakh (ex-showroom, India), thus making it the most expensive variant of the SUV.

2021 MG Gloster Savvy 7-seater: Exterior Highlights

There are no changes to the exterior of the MG Gloster in this new variant. The SUV continues to come with LED lights all around, 19-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, silver skid plates at front and rear and dual exhaust ports at the rear.

The most noteworthy change here is the replacement of captain seats in the middle row with a flat bench, thus increasing the seating capacity from 6 to 7 people. Like the 6-seater Savvy variant, this new 7-seater version too gets black and brown leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, 12-way power adjustable driver seat with massage function, 8-way power adjustable co-passenger front seat, full TFT instrument console, PM 2.5 air filter, 12-speaker audio system, wireless charger, 64-colour ambient lighting, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, three zone automatic climate control and more.

2021 MG Gloster Savvy 7-seater: Safety Features

The range of autonomous driver assistance systems (ADAS) has been retained in the seven seater version of the MG Gloster Savvy as well. The list of ADAS features available in this variant include adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning and lane departure warning.

Other prominent safety features of this variant are 360-degree parking camera, front and rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD and brake assist, electro-mechanical differential lock, electronic stability program, hill start assist, hill descent control, traction control and six airbags.

2021 MG Gloster Savvy 7-seater: Powertrain

The seven seater Savvy variant of the MG Gloster retains the 2.0-liter twin turbo diesel engine from its six seater counterpart. Coupled to an 8-speed automatic gearbox, this engine makes a maximum power output of 200 bhp and a maximum torque output of 480 Nm. The variant comes with all-wheel drive layout as standard.

At Rs. 37.28 lakh, the new top-spec variant of the MG Gloster takes on the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Isuzu MU-X, Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace and Mahindra Alturas.
