Ducati has brought in the range-topping version of its flagship supersport motorcycle Panigale, the new Panigale V4 SP. Offered as a track-only motorcycle, the Ducati Panigale V4 SP will be brought to India through the CBU route in limited numbers. The high-end track-oriented motorcycle is now open for bookings, with the official deliveries to start sometime at the beginning of 2022.
2022 Ducati Panigale V4 SP – Pricing and Colours
Priced at Rs 36.07 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new Ducati Panigale V4 SP will be available as a track-only motorcycle, and not for legal use on the streets. The only colour option in which the Ducati Panigale V4 SP has been made available this time around is the bike maker’s exclusive Winter Test livery, which is a shade of matte black with red inserts at places and a partial brushed aluminium finish for the fuel tank.

2022 Ducati Panigale V4 SP – What’s New
Unlike the previously available version, the new Ducati Panigale V4 SP is more than just a new paint scheme and minute visual upgrades. This time around, the Panigale V4 SP gets additional equipment like lighter-in-weight forged magnesium five-spoke alloy wheels, which bring down the weight of the motorcycle by 1.4 kg. The dry weight of the motorcycle stands at 173 kg.
The other features which are provided in the Ducati Panigale V4 SP over the lower-spec Panigale V4 S are a dry clutch, lighter chain, adjustable billet aluminium footpegs with carbon fibre heat shields, carbon fibre winglets on either side of the front fairing, carbon fibre front mudguard. It also comes with additional features for the Ducati Data Analyzer telemetry kit with a GPS module. To make every unit of the Panigale V4 SP exclusive on its own, Ducati has made the motorcycle available with a unique number stamped on the top of the aluminium-finished steering stem in the middle.
2022 Ducati Panigale V4 SP – Engine
The new Ducati Panigale V4 SP retains its liquid-cooled, 1103cc Desmosedici Stradale 90-degree V4 engine with the Panigale V4, which here makes a maximum power output of 214 bhp @ 13,000 rpm and a maximum torque output of 124 Nm @ 9,500 rpm. The 6-speed gearbox of the Panigale V4 SP is complemented with an up-and-down quick-shifter EVO.
2022 Ducati Panigale V4 SP – Chassis
The Ducati Panigale V4 SP sits on one of the most advanced frames for a supersport motorcycle. The aluminium alloy front frame of the motorcycle is assisted with a technologically superior suspension setup of Ohlins NIX30 43mm fully adjustable inverted forks with TiN treatment at the front and fully adjustable Ohlins TTX36 mono-shock at the back. The suspension has compression and rebound damping adjustments on offer, and is equipped with Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 event-based mode.
The 17-inch carbon fibre wheels are wrapped with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyres. The braking setup employed on the motorcycle consists of 330mm dual discs at the front and a 245mm disc at the rear, the former of which also gets the assistance of radially mounted Brembo Stylema callipers.

The Ducati Panigale V4 SP is packed with a comprehensive list of electronic riding aids, comprising of cornering ABS EVO, riding modes, power modes, Ducati traction control EVO 3, Ducati wheelie control EVO, Ducati slide control, Engine brake control EVO and Ducati power launch.
