Overview
The Honda WRV is the current subcompact crossover from Honda for specific markets across the globe. This crossover was designed keeping in mind the youth of emerging countries like Brazil and India. Honda markets this product as “stylish, sporty, and aggressive”, which appeals to the young car buyers of this segment. Based on the basic design of Fit/Jazz hatchbacks, this car draws some inspiration from the Honda BR-V compact SUV. After its launch in March 2017, WR-V received 23,000 bookings across India against a capacity to produce 3,400 units per month. According to Honda, WR-V or Wow R-V (as they like to call it) is a huge success in both the countries. The vehicle pits itself against the likes of Ford Ecosport, Maruti S-cross and Hyundai i20 Active.
Exterior
One of the features that strikes out in this model is its city friendly ground clearance compared to its contemporaries. The word that comes to mind after seeing this vehicle is ‘GenX’. It lures the modern family with its refreshing design and multi-purpose yet compact structure. Its attractive yet small bonnet with a subtle slope rests on the deep placed LED headlights, which enhances the front view. The solid chrome front grille positioned over the honeycomb mesh adds to the aggressive look. The highlight of the side profile are the silver roof rails which gives the impression of a larger vehicle. The rear look is weaker as compared to the front end but overall the design feels satiating to the viewer.

Interior
The interior is cozy enough but cannot be equated to premium cars. The absence of a rear armrest and rear AC vents are a few of the drawbacks of WRV. But, nonetheless, it has a sporty look on the dashboard with multi-function steering and a 7-inch Digipad which comes equipped with HDMI and internal storage. The rear seats are quite spacious and can accommodate 3 people comfortably. For this price, it is commendable on Honda’s part to provide its customers with all the essential qualities of a well-rounded car.
