Features host of alterations, the Hyundai SUV is going to be loved than ever
Hyundai has unveiled the Tucson 2020 at the ongoing New Delhi Auto Expo. Showcased at the 2018 New York Auto Show, the mid-size SUV from the Korean automaker gets a noticeable cascading trapezoidal grille, integrated LED DRLs in headlamps and fog lamps, restyled bumpers, new tail lamp unit and realigned reflectors at the rear. Cabin and feature-list too witnesses rejig. The 8-speed automatic gearbox now makes way into the new Tucson.
Engine & Specifications
Hyundai Tucson 2020 continues to be offered with the same set of 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engines as its predecessor. Meeting the BS6 emission norms, the motor will be linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission besides the regular 6-speed manual gearbox. The all-wheel drive option is carried forward in the updated model as well. It comes paired with the top-spec automatic trim.
Interiors
The Hyundai SUV gets a new centre console design with a large 8-inch touchscreen unit. AC vents now find a place below the console. The Tucson facelift comes with wireless charging, 2nd row USB charging, 360-degree camera, forward collision-avoidance assist, lane-keeping assist, panoramic sunroof and adaptive cruise control among others. Hyundai’s BlueLink connectivity suite also comes with the updated car.
Moreover, the instrument cluster is tweaked this time to add more bling to its interiors. The mid-size SUV now comes with an electronic parking brake as well. Overall, the premium quotient of the cabin is kept intact of its predecessor with the addition of a few more add-ons.
Competition
The new Hyundai Tucson 2020 refreshes the rivalry with Tata Harrier, Ssangyong Rexton W, Tata Hexa, MG Hector, Jeep Compass and Isuzu MUX.
