Just like its elder sibling Seltos, Kia Sonet too is predicted to cause serious disruption in the under 4-metre SUV category in the country. Scheduled for September 18 launch, the much-hyped mini-SUV from Kia has recorded overwhelming pre-booking response (6500+ on Day 1) since its unveiling last month. From the leaks and revelations amassed till now, the third car from the South Korean automaker – after Kia Seltos and Kia Carnival – Sonet strives its best to stand-out from its rivals on looks, in-cabin tech, equipment list, etc.
To make its road presence more astounding, Kia will offer some very interesting and cool elements as optional accessories making Sonet look premium as well as butch at the same time.
Glossy Black Faux Hood Vents & Chrome-Finish Side Vents
The pair of black faux vents can be placed on the left and right side of the bonnet near the windscreen. While the chrome-finished ones are to be adorned next to the front wheel arch right below the outside rear-view mirror. These are one-of-a-kind OE supplied accessories made available as an option with the Kia Sonet.
With these two vents (black and chrome) in place, the mini-SUV will not only look sportier but also command the attention of the onlookers on the road, especially when stationary. These fake vents with top-notch finish can easily put many observers in a fix as to how powerful the engine is that’s resting inside the hood.
Black Bumper Guards
The uniquely shaped glossy finished black bumper guards at front blend well amid the headlamp and fog lamp housing. And if you choose the silver or white shade of the Sonet it appears more elegant.

Chrome Work on Orvms & Door Handle Recess
The nicely placed chrome on the outside rear-view mirrors (ORVMs) looks exceptional. And it becomes more breath-taking when the integrated turn-indicators give a blink. Moreover, if the chrome handle integrated top-spec is not enough it can be further stuffed with chrome door handle recess to invite more bling.
Chrome Fog Lamps & Strips on Visor
The rich-feel accessories continue with the chrome-laden fog lamp and visor. The chrome garnished fog lamp housing provide a plush feel to the front fascia, while the chrome strips at the visor bring out grace quotient.
Some more chrome work awaits…
The wide chrome garnished door sills with ‘SONET’ inscription gels well with the rugged-looking sturdy side footstep. While rear chrome work includes the regular chrome bordering for the tail lamps, boot lid, rear reflectors, etc.
The accessory unveiled till now includes many useful as well as jazzy elements, however, there are more to come once Kia Sonet hits the showrooms. In addition to the accessories, it will also feature some very upmarket features inside the cabin which include ventilated seats, large infotainment system display, air purifier, front/rear parking sensors, BOSE music system, multi-drive mode and more.
The Kia Sonet will be offered in two main trim lines namely Tech Line and GT Line. It will be introduced with three engine choices – 1.2L petrol, 1.0L turbo-petrol and 1.5L diesel.
