With a new-age design in and out, premium features from one or two segments above and potent and technically advanced powertrain options, the Kia Seltos has won lakhs of hearts in a very short time.
The Kia Seltos came to India with a very long list of variants and powertrain combinations, which can be confusing for some to know about. We have categorized all the variants with their respective features and other details like prices and specifications, which are as follows:
Variants and Prices
Manual Variants
All the manual variants of the Kia Seltos, irrespective of the type of engine, are equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Talking about the 1.5-litre petrol variants, there are four variants – HTE, HTK, HTK+ and HTX, the prices for which range between Rs 9.95-13.85 lakh. The diesel-powered lineup comes with an additional HTX+ variant, with the lineup priced between Rs 10.75-16.29 lakh. The 1.4-litre turbo-petrol variant is exclusively available only in two variants, GTX (O) and GTX+, the prices of which exist between Rs 15.55-17.05 lakh. The HTX+ and GTX+ variants are also available with the option of dual-tone paint schemes.

Automatic Variants
The 1.5-litre petrol engine is offered with two gearbox choices – while the 6-speed iMT is available in HTK+ variant, which is priced at Rs 12.39 lakh, the more premium CVT gearbox is priced at Rs 14.85 lakh for the HTX variant in which it is available. The diesel engine is available with a 6-speed automatic gearbox in HTK+, GTX+ and GTX+ Dual-tone, the prices of which exist between Rs 14.25-18.15 lakh. Meanwhile, the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol is available in a single GTX+ variant, the prices for which are Rs 17.65 lakh for the single-tone and Rs 17.85 lakh for the dual-tone paint schemes.
The 1.4-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel automatic variants are also available with an exclusive X-Line variant with a matte paint scheme, which is priced at Rs 4,000 premium over their respective GTX+ dual-tone variants.

Engine and Transmission
The Kia Seltos was the first SUV in its segment to offer BS6-compliant powertrains in all types of fuel options. There are two petrol-powered engine options – a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (115 PS of power and 144 Nm of torque) and a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine (140 PS of power and 240 Nm of torque). There is also a 1.5-litre diesel engine, which makes 115 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque.
A 6-speed manual gearbox is offered across the range as standard. However, there are many automatic transmission options on offer as well. The 1.5-litre petrol is also on sale with a 6-speed iMT and a CVT gearbox, whereas the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol can also be had with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. In addition, a 6-speed automatic gearbox is also on offer with the 1.5-litre diesel engine.

Safety and Security Features
The Kia Seltos is one of the most well-equipped SUVs in its segment when it comes to safety. From the base variant, the Seltos comes standard with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and reverse parking sensors. The mid-spec HTK and HTK+ variants get a reverse camera and rearview monitor in addition.
Then comes the HTX variant, which adds in features like tyre pressure monitoring system, ESC, hill hold control, brake assist, auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers and vehicle stability management. The more premium HTX+ and GTX (O) also get front parking sensors in addition. Lastly, the top-spec GTX+ variant is fully loaded with side and curtain airbags, head-up display, blind view monitor and 360-degree camera, in addition to all the features of GTX (O).

When it comes to offering lengthy comfort and convenience features, the Kia Seltos has aced the game. Connectivity and Entertainment Features
Only the base-spec HTE variant comes with a 2-DIN audio system. Apart from that, the HTK and HTK+ variants are equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, while the rest of the higher variants have an even bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Both these touchscreen infotainment systems feature wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto as well. The top-three variants also feature a stupendously sounding 8-speaker BOSE audio system.
