The Omni had been one legendary and trustable workhorse for Maruti Suzuki for more than three decades. However, all good things have to go one day, and so did the Omni in 2019 in the wake of modern safety norms. The utilitarian van was gradually replaced by the Maruti Suzuki Eeco, a larger, more spacious and better-built van that was introduced above Omni as a more premium offering in 2010.
The Eeco is available as a bare basic van in three different variants, the complete details of which are as follows:
Variants and Prices
The Maruti Suzuki Eeco is available in a total of three very basic and sparsely equipped variants – 5-seater STD (O), 7-seater STD (O) and 5-seater AC (O). While the 5-seater STD (O) is priced at Rs 4.53 lakh, the 7-seater STD (O) with an extra row of seats is priced at Rs 4.82 lakh. Meanwhile, the 5-seater AC (O) is available in two versions – a petrol-driven one priced at Rs 4.94 lakh and the one driven by petrol and CNG combination priced at Rs 5.89 lakh.

Available with a 5-speed manual gearbox, this engine produces 73 PS of maximum power and 98 Nm of maximum torque. In the CNG-powered version, these figures drop down to 63 PS of maximum power and 85 Nm of maximum torque.

Comfort and Convenience Features
The Maruti Suzuki Eeco is a utilitarian model which offers a minimal amount of features to keep you decently comfortable while on the go. The base 5-seater STD (O) gets a basic heater, power steering and sliding and reclining front seats, while the 7-seater STD (O) adds a third row of seats at the back with fixed headrests for the second and third row of seats. As the name suggests, the 5-seater AC (O) adds a manually operated AC over the 5-seater STD (O).
