India’s Auto Drivers Ready Themselves for the Montra Electric Super League
In a first-ever event conceptualised for auto drivers, the industry-leading EV brand Montra Electric of the prestigious 124-year-old Murugappa Group is proud to present the Montra Electric Super League (MSL). With strategic support in partnership and funding from Chola Finance, the pioneering initiative brings the spirit of IPL onto the streets. Moreover, with the conceptualization of 10 competing teams, consisting of 17 Super Auto Riders.
The MSL is not some static scientific report. It’s a full-blown competition tailor-designed to change minds in the three-wheeler EV segment. Additionally, this one-of-a-kind league provides power for contestants. Moreover, to discover the highest potential of EVs, keep distances long, with the help of optimised strategic top-up charging through the day.
The 170 Super Riders across India, including female auto drivers, will be divided into 10 teams. Further that will set the stage to challenge each other in log-racking distances. Whatever the score of the team, regarding maximum kilometres, will reflect one day of driving EV over. Additionally, above crossing 300 Kms on a single day.

The website says that the MSL scoring is designed to incentivize and reward performance. Every top 14 riders in a team’s each kilometre equals one run. Additionally, there are bonus runs for successful referrals that may lead to deliveries, live bookings, and quality customer testimonial videos. Over a series of matches, each team will play the other on total points and runs. Further in culminating in quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the grand finale.
Chola Finance, another key member of the Murugappa Group, has offered to provide lifelong free education to the children of up to 68 Super Riders who reach the final stages of the tournament. This is a reiteration of this tournament’s commitment to lifting the lives of these industrious people.
The Montra Electric Super League started on 5 July. Additionally, it will go all the way to a fabulous finale in the first week of September. The Champion Super Riders will be felicitated during a special ceremony organised at the Montra Electric factory in Chennai, where they would also get a chance to witness the making of their Montra Electric Super Autos.
