10 Most Affordable Cars With Air Purifier in India

The coronavirus pandemic has been an additional reminder for the human kind, teaching all of us once again that how vulnerable and unpredictable the human life in general is. However, since the outbreak of this virus, various measures are being taken to keep it under check and make the environment a cleaner and more hygienic place.

Various auto makers too have taken this thing in their notice, and have come up with the solution of an inbuilt air purifier for their offerings. These air purifiers not only prevent the infiltration of dust and toxic fumes, but also removes airborne viruses with the help of air filter in them.

While the air purifier is not a sure-shot solution in preventing the occupants with coronavirus considering the bigger size of its particles, it surely helps in making the cabin a cleaner place. Following is a list of 10 most affordable cars with air purifier in India:-

Hyundai i20

The only hatchback in the Indian car market to get the feature of air purifier is the Hyundai i20. The said feature can be had in the top-most Asta (O) variant with 1.2-liter petrol engine (83 PS/113 Nm) with 5-speed manual, 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine (120 PS/172 Nm) with 7-speed DCT and 1.5-liter diesel engine (100 PS/240 Nm). The lower-spec Asta variant too can be had with this feature, in the CVT-equipped variant of the 1.2-liter petrol engine and 7-speed DCT-equipped variant of the 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine.

Nissan Magnite

Nissan’s comeback product for the Indian car market, the Magnite, too offers the feature of air purifier. The air purifier has been included in an optional ‘Technology’ pack of features, which can be had with XV, XV Premium and XV Premium (O) variants. All these variants come with a 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine (100 PS/160 Nm) with options of both 5-speed manual and CVT. The XV and XV Premium can also be had with a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine (72 PS/96 Nm) with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Renault Kiger

Renault’s answer to the super popular sub-four meter compact SUV segment, the Kiger, too comes with air purifier. Unlike its distant cousin, the Nissan Magnite, which offers air purifier as a part of optional pack, the Renault Kiger offers it as standard in the top-spec RXZ variant of it. This said variant can be had either with a 1.0-liter petrol engine (72 PS/96 Nm) with the option of a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT, or a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine (100 PS/160 Nm) with the option of a 5-speed manual or a CVT.

Kia Sonet

The Kia Sonet was the first sub-four meter SUV to get the feature of air purifier in the Indian car market. The feature of air purifier is available in the HTX+ and GTX+ trims of the Kia Sonet. The HTX+ variant can be had with a 1.0-liter turbo-petrol (120 PS/172 Nm) available with a 6-speed iMT and a 1.5-liter diesel (100 PS/240 Nm). On the other hand, the GTX+ variant is being offered with 1.0-liter turbo-petrol with both 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT and the 1.5-liter diesel with both 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Hyundai Venue

Soon after the arrival of Kia Sonet, the Hyundai venue was given a small feature update, which saw the introduction of air purifier in it. The air purifier is being offered in the range topping SX(O) variant of the Hyundai Venue, which is available with a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine (120 PS/172 Nm) with both 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT and a 1.5-liter diesel engine (100 PS/240 Nm) with a 6-speed manual. In addition to it, the SX variant with DCT-equipped 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine too is available with the feature.

Hyundai Creta

With its second generation model, the Hyundai Creta too received air purifier in its top-spec SX(O) variant as well as automatic versions of the lower-spec SX variant. The powertrain options getting this feature on both the variants are a 1.5-liter petrol engine (115 PS/144 Nm) with CVT, 1.5-liter diesel engine (115 PS/250 Nm) with 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic or a 1.4-liter turbocharged petrol engine (140 PS/242 Nm) with a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox.

Kia Seltos

The Kia Seltos, like the Hyundai Creta, too can be had with air purifier in its two of the higher-spec variants – in this case, the GTX and GTX+. Both these variants come with a 1.4-liter turbo petrol engine (140 PS/242 Nm), which are being offered either with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT. In addition, the GTX+ variant can also be had with a 1.5-liter diesel engine (115 PS/250 Nm) paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Hyundai Alcazar

The Hyundai Alcazar is the most affordable six/seven seater vehicle in the Indian market to be bestowed with the feature of air purifier. The feature is available in the Platinum and Signature variants of the Alcazar, which are the top two variants of the SUV. Both these variants are available as standard with the 2.0-liter petrol engine (160 PS/192 Nm) and a 1.5-liter diesel engine (115 PS/250 Nm). One can have air purifier in the most premium ‘Exclusive’ variant of the MG ZS EV.
