Renault Trezor is unveiled at the ongoing Indian Motor Show. Runs on all-electric powertrain system; produces 350bhp of power output and 380Nm of torque.
Renault has unveiled its party piece at the 2018 Indian Expo which comes in the form of the Trezor concept. Renault Trezor is a two-seater electric sports car which first made its appearance at the 2016 Paris Motor show. The French automaker describes Trezor as a futuristic two-door GT car. Renault claims that in the coming two years, it will put the Trezor concept into production. Even though it is a fully functional model; the French automaker did not confirm whether the car will go into production as is or will the production spec model will be a scaled-down version of the concept.
Its aesthetics can best be described by their accolades. The Renault Trezor concept was awarded as the ‘Most beautiful car of the year’ in 2016 at the Festival Automobile International. The car features a flowing design language and manages to do away with the incorporation of any lines throughout its bodywork. This comes as a courtesy of its clamshell roof which opens as a single piece along with the windshield and bonnet to give access to the driver. The car’s windshield is red in colour and bathes the interior in a red glow.
Inside the cabin, you get a gorilla glass OLED touchscreen which extends all the way from the centre console onto the steering wheel. The car comes with the autonomous driving mode in which the rectangular steering wheel moves away from the driver giving him a panoramic view. Powering this electric grand tourer is an all-electric powertrain system which is based on the Rechargeable Energy Storage System that we find in Formula E cars. The cars motor develops 350bhp of power output and 380 Nm of torque.
The seamless design and lack of ducts throughout the body make this concept car one of the most aerodynamically efficient cars in the world with a drag coefficient of 0.22.
