Tata Harrier and Safari Get New Mid-spec XTA+ Automatic Variants, Prices Start at Rs. 19.14 Lakh

Tata Motors has expanded the lineup of both Harrier and Safari by introducing mid-spec XTA+ variants. While the XTA+ variant is positioned below the top-spec XZA+ variants of both the SUVs, they still come with a lot of features, the most prominent of which is the panoramic sunroof.

The prices for the XTA+ variants of the Tata Harrier and Safari are as follows:

Features

The XTA+ variant of the both the Tata Harrier and Safari SUVs is slotted below the top-spec XZA+ variants of both of them. However, they still get a lot of premium comfort and convenience features, such as 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with 8 speakers, Android Auto and Apple Carplay, panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, ambient lighting, iRA connected car tech, push button start with keyless entry, automatic headlamps, cruise control, rain sensing wipers and reverse camera.

In addition to these, the XTA+ variant also gets projector headlamps, dual functioning daytime running LEDs, 17-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, tire pressure monitoring system, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability program and reverse parking sensors.

Powertrain

Bothe the Harrier and Safari, in this newly launched XTA+ variant, get the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine, which powers the rest of the range. Coupled to a 6-speed automatic gearbox, this engine pumps out 170 PS of maximum power and 350 Nm of maximum torque.

Competition

With this new mid-spec XTA+ variant, the Tata Harrier has bridged the gap between it and the diesel-automatic variants of Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta. Also, the Tata Safari too has come closer to the diesel-automatic variants of newly launched Hyundai Alcazar with this new variant.
