Best 5 Concept Cars Showcased at Auto Expo 2018
Not exactly a concept, but Japanese automaker showcased the next generation of its Amaze compact sedan at the Indian Auto Expo. The car will carry forward the same engine options as its predecessor but with a diesel mill which produces 100PS of peak power output and competitive fuel economy stats, Honda Amaze’s engine options were always ahead of its time. We also expect to find a plethora of safety feature which will be offered in the middle range variants.
Maruti showcased its small car concept at the 2018 Indian Auto Expo. The Future S concept is a rival against the Renault Kwid. When launched the production model will feature the same SUV-esque stance. This will include a flat bonnet, high ground clearance and upright windshield. The concept comes with sleek headlamps, which might be a hint of the design language Maruti will use with this entry-level small car.

An SUV concept by Tata Motors named H5X was showcased at the recently culminated motor show. H5X will be Tata Motors’ new flagship SUV and is based on the new Omega Platform which gets the same underpinnings as the Range Rover Discovery. In terms of the engine option, we expect H5X will get the same 2.0-litre motor as Jeep Compass, which produces 148bhp of peak power output.

Tata 45X is a futuristic concept will be a premium hatchback entry from out domestic carmaker. The concept features Tata’s Impact 2.0 design language and features sleek headlamps, a dual-tone colour scheme with contrasting roof and rear spoiler. It will rival the likes of Hyundai i20, Maruti Baleno, Honda Jazz, amongst others.

Korean automaker Kia is all set to enter the Indian market and will launch a new premium compact SUV. Kia will launch a host of cars in the year 2019 and one of them will be based on the Kia SP concept. The concept was showcased at the 2018 Indian Auto Expo. It is likely that the production spec model will share its engine options with its Hyundai sibling, Creta.
