One of the world’s largest automakers, Volkswagen has showcased the anticipated Tiguan Allspace SUV at the Auto Expo 2020. The extended version of the Tiguan SUV, it gets an increased wheelbase of 110mm against its 5-seater sibling. With the ability to seat up to seven occupants, Allspace SUV is projected as a premium car for large families in India. Rich feature-list of the spacious VW SUV comprises of attributes like a panoramic sunroof, cruise control, and others. To hit showrooms in March 2020, VW dealerships across India have started accepting its bookings.
The elements that help VW Allspace SUV create a separate identity for itself are the new LED projector headlamps with DRLs at the front, new LED taillights at rear and 17-inch wide radial tyres with dual-tone alloys. Other aspects of the exteriors are comparatively similar to the 5-seater VW Tiguan SUV.
Besides colossal room inside, the three-row Tiguan Allspace sees plush features such as panoramic sunroof, high-quality Vienna leather seats, reverse parking camera, active info display, 3-zone climatronic auto ac, and more. Under safety department features like seven-airbags with knee airbags, ABS with EBD and ESC, and many more are expected to come standard on all trims.
The large VW SUV is packed with a powerful 2.0L TSI turbocharged petrol engine, which churns out maximum power figures of 190hp, while torque numbers are not out yet. For effortless drives the powertrain is mated to a smooth 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. Further, controlled stability on varied road surfaces is assured by the 4MOTION all-wheel-drive mechanism.
A part of VW’s India 2.0 project, the full-size VW SUV, receives extensive dimensions that read 4712mm (length), 1839mm (width) and 1673mm (height). Moreover, the wheelbase, which is 110mm longer than standard Tiguan stands at 2791mm.
